"The inuksuk may have been used for navigation, as a point of reference, a marker for travel routes, fishing places, camps, hunting grounds, places of veneration, drift fences used in hunting] or as a food cache. The Inupiat in northern Alaska used inuksuit to assist in the herding of caribou into contained areas for slaughter. Varying in shape and size, the inuksuit have longtime roots in the Inuit culture." Sharon is a Nature and Wildllife Photographer living on the West Coast of British Columbia, Canada. In our busy lives, it`s often hard to take the time to stop and 'smell the roses' and really see what nature has to offer, but whether on a forest trail or around the corner from her home, Sharon attempts to capture the stunning diversity that nature has to offer. Her photographic interests range from macros of insects to scenic landscapes and everything in-between, and finds there`s never enough time to really explore all that`s out there. Serious about photography since 2009, and now wanting to offer something more, Sharon has started creating digital paintings with computer software based on her photos. Please enjoy browsing her...
